Introducing Marigold Gardner. New owner of 1 Observatory Way and the latest resident in the district of Strangetown. As a plantsim, her needs are very simple: Sunlight, Water, and Love.

Her house is a spacious but practical Bungalow. An open plan Kitchen/ Lounge, separate Bedroom area and Bathroom.

Despite her simple needs, Marigold still requires an income and checks the local newspaper. She spots vacancies for a Security Guard.

Playground Monitor.

Or Army Recruit. None particularly appeal and Marigold opts to live off her savings until something more suitable can be found.

Eliott Stargazer stops by to say hi. He and Marigold get on wonderfully.

Eliott can’t leave Polly for more than a couple of minutes and is soon forced to head off. Marigold takes the chance to throw out the newspaper.

Then on to her keep-fit routine.

And on to a bath as Midnight hits…

5 Observatory Way. Home of Eliott Stargazer, and Daughter Polly. The newest residents of Sim Heights. This time in the district of Strangetown where the abnormal is, well, normal.

With only himself and Polly to accommodate, Eliott requires a minimal amount of space. His single level dwelling has an open plan Kitchen/ Lounge, Bathroom and single Bedroom.

With his Daughter’s future in mind, Eliott wants to find employ.

Jobs in Social Services, or as a Masseuse, are too low paid for too many hours. Pro Wrestling is not something he has considered but the hours mean he can work while Polly sleeps and the pay is good.

Ever the doting father, Eliott ensures Polly is fed.

Before fixing Spaghetti Bolognese for himself.

He settles down in front of the TV with his food.

Before checking on Polly and then turning in for the night.

So ends another un-eventful day in Sim Heights. Twice in a row? Something is brewing…

Stargazer Family Tree

Welcome to 170 Main Street, home to sisters Dina Bachelor & Nina Caliente. Here we see the roof deck. Hot-tub, Bar and Sun Loungers, complete with (waterproof?) Hi-Fi.

First Floor, Nina’s room (Blue) and Dina’s, which she shared with her late husband, Michael Bachelor, the Bathroom and a small balcony.

Ground Floor, Kitchen/ Dining Room and large Lounge with Exercise machine and Urn (Michael Bachelor’s).

As Nina heads outside to collect the paper she notices a small potted shrub which reminds her of Mary Gavigan. Nina HATES Mary Gavigan.

Nina opts for a job as a Masseuse.

As Dina pours some drinks.

Drink in hand, and with evening approaching, Nina enjoys some music.

Dina however, decides against drinking and watches TV instead.

Easily the single most eventful thing to have happened in this household today.

Quickly rendered mundane.

With no welcoming committee and little chance of anything of interest transpiring, the girls settle down for the night.

Bachelor/ Caliente Family Tree

Introducing The Burb Household. John, Jennifer & Daughter Lucy. New Residents of 10 Forest Way. John & Jennifer are renting the property from Sim City entrepreneur Malcolm Landgraab IV. They hope this will enable John to concentrate on raising young Lucy while still retaining enough of their savings to live comfortably while Jennifer looks for meaningful employment.

First floor. Only John & Jennifer’s bedroom.

Ground Floor. Kitchen area, open plan Lounge/ Dining Room, Bathroom and Lucy’s Bedroom.

Lucy heads to school as John & Jennifer ‘relax’.

John brushes up (no pun intended) on his painting as Jennifer looks for a job.

Jobs as a Wallflower and Furniture Assembler are tempting but while Jennifer has never considered life as an Assassin, a job as a Scout pays well and at least she wont get her hands dirty.

The welcoming committee of Brandi Broke, Chris Garvey & Tanya Metcalfe arrive. Tanya, completely ignoring the fact John is stood painting in his underwear, settles down to a freshly made (by Jennifer) Lunch Meat sandwich.

Brandi & Chris chat whilst watching TV as John, still utterly oblivious to the house-guests, continues his painting. Jennifer eats her lunch… And Tanya uses the Toilet.

The welcoming committee chat among themselves as Jennifer washes the dishes from lunch and John continues to paint.

Jennifer’s brother, Daniel Pleasant, has invited Jennifer Downtown.

Daniel has taken the unusual but undoubtedly bold step of bringing both his wife, Mary-Sue AND mistress Kaylynn Langerak with him as the siblings visit Maple Pool & Spa in Downtown Sim Heights.

Kaylynn & Mary-Sue play Darts as Daniel plays chess with Marcel Jocque, and Jennifer makes use of the community shower facilities.

Jennifer buys a new Cell Phone for herself and a Handheld Video Game console for Lucy.

Mary-Sue seems to have taken a liking to Dirk Dreamer, her Daughter Lilith’s boyfriend…

Mary-Sue and Jennifer chat in the Hot-tub.

As Dirk plays chess with his Girlfriend’s Father’s Mistress.

The awkwardness continues as Kaylynn joins Jennifer & Mary-Sue in the hot-tub.

Jennifer meets Count Ethan Taylor.

And almost immediately takes a disliking to him.

Mrs. Crumplebottom lectures Jennifer about wearing a swimsuit even though she has only moments ago come from the hot-tub.

Even when Jennifer dresses, Mrs. Crumplebottom is not satisfied and lectures her some more.

Kaylynn also suffers the wrath of Mrs. Crumplebottom. Mary-Sue looks on approvingly.

Even after dressing, which is arguably worse, Mrs. Crumplebottom continues her lecture.

Kaylynn has issues with the Electrodance Sphere.

Jennifer complains of being hungry and decides to call it a night. In the background Kaylynn is looking sorry for herself after her Electrodance Sphere incident.

Jennifer heads out to the street to call a Taxi.

While waiting for the Taxi, Jennifer says hello to Marsha Jones, The Atrociously Evil Witch.

Jennifer returns home, with Daniel, Mary-Sue and Kaylynn (still in swimsuit having returned to the hot-tub to wait for the taxi) in tow.

In her own subtle way, Mary-Sue suggests to Brandi that she may not be quite as fresh as she was this morning.

Lucy turns in for the night.

Moments after Jennifer falls asleep, the bedroom becomes the social hotspot of the house. Chris decides here and now would be the best time and place to serenade Tanya.

Despite, or perhaps because of, Lazlo Curious’ (not even sure where he came from?) toxic stench, Jennifer sleeps on, as John decides to call it a night and the guests slowly leave.

Introducing The Dreamer Household. Struggling Artist Darren and son Dirk. Residents of 195 Main Street and the first pre-made family to have their time in the spotlight.

The 1st floor: Darren’s studio, Bedroom, Gallery and Bathroom.

Ground floor: comprising Dirk’s Bedroom, Kitchen/ Dining Room, Lounge and another Bathroom.

Dirk heads to school as Darren gets started on making some money.

Darren’s portrait of Dirk is starting to take shape.

The welcoming committee arrive. Headed up by Nathan Gavigan & Nina Caliente.

Dirk has brought Sophie Kimbrell home with him from school and the two play video games as Bella Goth cheers them on.

Sophie waits patiently as Nathan christens another Toilet, while Dirk invites Lilith Pleasant over.

Darren, aware of the mounting bills, gets back to his painting.

Dirk greets Lilith in traditional Dreamer style.

Dirk decides to get his homework out of the way as Lilith plays video games.

Darren’s portrait sells for just $67.

Nina completes the set by falling out with Lilith.

Everyone tucks into Darren’s Mac & Cheese.

As Lilith uses the toilet.

Sophie plays video games as Dirk and Nathan watch.

Darren heads to bed as Bella, Lilith & Nina continue to argue.

Dirk handles the goodbyes.

Meet Gavin Butler & Gillian Jones, the newest residents in Sim Heights. They paid $11,000 for the 2 Bedroom/ 2 Bathroom, 50 Middle Lane.

1st Floor: Two bedrooms, Bathroom and Balcony.

Ground Floor: large Lounge/ Kitchen area and separate Toilet.

Renovated 1st Floor, now comprising a single large Bedroom with Office area, a separate ‘Dressing Room’ and Bathroom.

Ground Floor, now with distinct Lounge area, large Kitchen and new spiral Staircase.

And a newly laid Driveway, complete with ’09 Renault Mégane.

Gavin takes the new car to have an alarm installed and Gillian enjoys some music.

Gillian greets Dongsool Perry and collects the daily paper.

Success! Gillian has found a job in the Architecture Field from the newspaper. The money is good and she will have all the cement she could ever want.

Gavin has returned and looks for a job himself. He finds a vacancy in the Gamer career as a noob. The money is not bad but his days off don’t match with Gillian’s.

Gavin comes back downstairs to find Mary Gavigan, Nathan Gavigan & Nina Caliente have come round to welcome he and Gillian to the neighbourhood, and a full blown dance party is in progress!

Gillian and Mary tuck into some Lunch Meat sandwiches which Gillian has just made. Nathan and Nina wind down a little as Gavin is just getting started.

Gavin takes the opportunity to watch silently as Gillian showers…

Unaware of what happened upstairs, Gillian, freshly showered, enjoys some more music. As Gavin prepares Mac & Cheese for everyone. Nina has upset Mary.

And Nathan christens the new Toilet.

Mary has another problem…

Sorted.

Mary gives Nina what for.

Opting not to use any subtlety what-so-ever. Gavin and Gillian go to bed, leaving their house-guests downstairs.

Taking the hint, the guests leave.

Butler Family Tree

Dominic & sister Kara recently arrived in Sim Heights. Using $41,000 of their $45,000 capital, they purchased 5 Forest Way.

Top floor of the house, showing 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms.

1st Floor: Kitchen, Lounge, Dining Room and a Shower Room.

Ground Floor and Garage.

With the last of their savings, Dominic converts the basement into a cut-price ‘Rec Room’ and already has a trickle of customers.

Brandi Broke, Chris Garvey & Tanya Metcalfe come round to welcome Dominic and Kara to the neighbourhood.

It’s not long before all three are paying customers and Dominic turns his attention to Allyn Wade.

Brandi, Chris, Gerard Kosmokos & Kara play Poker as Tanya plays Darts and Dominic continues to woo Allyn.

Benjamin Baldwin, Conor Sims & Emily Olshfski socialise over a game of Darts as Kara gets to know Dagmar Ng & Heath Mendoza over the Poker table. The customers keep coming as Dominic focuses his attentions on Stella Roth.

Using the power of conversation alone, and with only minutes to spare before the midnight deadline, Kara has charmed Oliver Seavey, who moves in, bringing $21,000 and his highly paid salary as a General in the Sim City Armed Forces.
